Children journey to the Smith Farm to learn about life on a 19th century slave-holding farm. Learn about the lives of enslaved peoples through historic buildings, tactile experiences, and exciting encounters with museum interpreters. From foodways and music to blacksmithing and woodworking this tour provides a unique opportunity for exploration and engagement.

This is an outdoor program; please dress for the forecasted weather. In case of heavy rain, the program is rescheduled or performed indoors. Please note, not all activities are handicapped accessible.
The cost for Georgia Farm Life tours is $8 per student, and for every 10 students one adult is admitted in for free. The limit for each tour is 35 students with 5 adults.
Full payment is required 3 weeks prior to your visit to guarantee your reservation for all tours. If booking less than 3 weeks in advance, full payment is due immediately.
Your payment is not refundable if you cancel your school tour and do not reschedule.
There is a $25 administrative fee should you need to reschedule your tour. You must notify the Atlanta History Center at least 3 days in advance. With advance notice your payment can be applied to a new tour date, plus the administrative fee.
