To schedule an appointment, patrons must either contact a staff member at 404.814.4040, or email reference@atlantahistorycenter.com. Appointments must be made two business days (Monday-Saturday) in advance. When scheduling appointments, patrons must request all collection material in advance, including archival records, books, microfilm and periodicals. Staff will follow up within 24 hours to confirm the appointment and collection materials requests. No walk in patrons will be served.

Patrons may schedule appointments Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The Research Center will close daily between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm for cleaning. To allow for appropriate social distancing, the Research Center will allow up to five patrons during a given three-hour time slot. Patrons must wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth while in the Research Center. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.

Visitors are required to call in at 404-814-4040 when they arrive at campus the day of their appointment to answer health screening questions. Each visitor will also have their temperature taken in advance of accessing the Kenan Research Center. The Atlanta History Center reserves the right to deny entry to visitors who are experiencing Coronavirus symptoms or who have a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or above.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we reopen in a safe, responsible manner. We look forward to serving you.
