Atlanta History Center is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, with a midtown location at Atlanta History Center Midtown. Our 33-acre experience in Buckhead features award-winning exhibitions, historic houses, enchanting gardens, interactive activities and a variety of year-round adult and family programs. Inside and outside of our buildings, we reveal the meaning and context that gives rise to a multidimensional, shared understanding of our city. A world of history awaits you!

History happens everyday! And that’s a lot of history to tell. So set your own pace and enjoy learning about all things Atlanta history as you stroll through our exhibitions, gardens, and historic houses.
For groups of 10 or more, self-guided tours allow groups the opportunity to spend as little or as much time as they like on our 33-acre campus. Audio tours of Turning Point: The American Civil War are available at admissions.
