Internships are held during three sessions throughout the year— Summer, Fall, and Spring— in order to best align with university and other schooling schedules. Please refer to the internship opportunities to view the department offerings for each session. Students pursuing their undergraduate degree, graduate students, and recent graduates (within the last twelve months) are eligible to apply for an internship at the Atlanta History Center. Prospective interns are students who have demonstrated superior academic ability and have professional goals that are in alignment with the programs offered at the Atlanta History Center. Check out the links below to see what internships are available for the upcoming session.
Temporary internship positions are often created for new, large projects at Atlanta History Center. Email volunteerservices@atlantahistorycenter.com with any questions concerning internships at the Atlanta History Center.
In light of the on-going COVID pandemic, we will be taking extra precautionary measures to ensure the safety of those fulfilling internships with AHC. Internships will primarily be remote; opportunities for safe, in-person experiences to be determined on a case-by-case basis between the intern and supervisor. We understand these times are unprecedented and are dedicated to being flexible to ensure interns have the best experience possible. If you have any additional questions about internships amid COVID, please feel free to reach out and we will gladly assist: jhogan-yarbro@atlantahistorycenter.com.
